Landscape Configuration Effects on Outdoor Thermal Comfort across Campus—A Case Study

نویسندگان

چکیده

As a main place for student activities on campus, outdoor spaces have positive impacts students’ physical and mental health. Namely, heat comfort are of great significance to improve activity quality. Here, four unique were studied explore the varying effects human thermal during hot-summer cold-winter periods. Distinct (fully open, semi-open, semi-enclosed, fully enclosed areas) from southern campus Anhui Jianzhu University chosen. The PET was used as metric measuring analyzing correlated spatiotemporal distributions. results showed that derived multiple factors, including vegetation, underlying surface materials, building presence, wind-heat environment. Notably, high correlations between Tmrt revealed, where such temperatures places with trees or shade low; thus, low. Further, Ws significantly negative correlation PET. Of space forms, location had lowest level, while semi-enclosed highest level body comfort. Therefore, (U-shaped) is recommended in planning construction. Accordingly, an improved strategy proposed based experimental transformation spaces. after optimization simulated provide references improvement seasonal extremes.

Development of outdoor thermal index indicating universal and separate effects on human thermal comfort.

The purpose of this study is to propose a new outdoor thermal index that simultaneously indicates universal and separate effects. The value indicating universal effect in this index consists of the summation of air temperature and the effective temperature differences by air velocity, longwave radiation, solar radiation, and humidity. This paper describes the theoretical construction of this ne...
